You can occasionally catch sight of BeerBikes at sightseeing spots overseas.
There are still no areas where BeerBikes are operating in Japan.
These BeerBikes were officially recognized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as “four-wheel bicycles” and Community Velo will now operate the first original four-wheel bicycle service in Japan.
The number of tourists to Japan is continuing to increase. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics are also approaching.
This is a means of transportation not previously found in Japan. This will become a tool offering “new ways to have fun cities” and a “concrete tool to achieve the revitalization of communities.”
We will continue to find new resources in communities without relying only on large sightseeing facilities or famous sightseeing spots to restore the liveliness of towns together with local people and reliably implement such activities.
(*Operation is scheduled to start in the spring of 2018.)
Classification: Four-wheel bicycles (Light vehicles with no motors)
Capacity: 14 (12 passengers and 2 drivers)
Drive: Human power (Pedal)
We will let our passengers pedal.
We have special personnel to operate these bicycles, so please enjoy sightseeing and eating while taking a ride!
